On occasion, you’ll see movies with people smoking. However, we’ll save that for another article. For this one, our focus is on this simple question: Are there famous vapers out there? Or any movies or television series that feature vaping? The answer’s slowly growing: yes.

This helps the vaping community’s case to continue using this healthier alternative, especially since there’s so much negative news and such.

Below you’ll find some examples of famous celebrity vaping enthusiasts if you will, and scenes where using an electronic cigarette have been featured.

House of Cards

The ambitious and devious Frank Underwood (portrayed by Kevin Spacey) has recently been made Vice President of the United States. In this scene, he’s lounging in his living room when his wife, Clair Underwood (portrayed by Robin Wright) comes in and catches him vaping. Clair having previously told Frank that he shouldn’t be smoking because, “Vice presidents don’t smoke,” reacts in a shocked manner and then says, “You’re cheating.” Frank coolly replies, “No, I’m not. It’s vapor. You should try it. It’s addiction without the consequences.”

The Tourist

A romantic comedy with an action twist featuring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. The movie’s about a mysterious woman, Elise Clifton-Ward (Jolie), who thanks to an old lover, is now being chased by Interpol. She befriends a mild-mannered American, Frank Tupelo (Depp) in attempts to throw the police off guard. When Elise first meets Frank in the train, Frank is sitting by himself, vaping in what can undoubtedly be a Euro-rail train.

Leonardo DiCaprio is an advocate of electronic cigarettes. He took his passion for vaping so far as to vape during the Golden Globes! The Hollywood A-Lister might have gotten some backlash for it, but he stood up for something he believes in.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Much like Leo, Julia is another one who went against the big tobacco corporations and decided to vape during the Golden Globes. Julia was then later seen stuffing food into her mouth and enjoying some well-deserved Moet.

Katherine Heigl

The former Grey’s Anatomy actress is a vape advocate. She even went on the Late Night with David Letterman show and praised electronic cigarettes. She shared her story of her struggles with quitting smoking for years and since switching, she has “no excuse to smoke another cigarette.” Heigl then offered Letterman to sample her VP to help promote a lifestyle where people are free from cigarettes.

As you can see, vaping’s becoming a hit in Hollywood, and it continues trend upward.
